Papua New Guinea: Royal PNG Constabulary Development Project, Phase III Project Monitoring and Review Group (PMRG) & Justice Advisory Group (JAG), AusAID, 2001 - 08

The purpose of the Project Monitoring and Review Group is to conduct two review missions per year to review selected components of the Royal PNG Constabulary Institutional Strengthening Project Phase III. The aim of the project is to improve the capability of the RPNGC to enforce the law effectively and in an impartial manner, and to work with the community to preserve peace and good order. World Wide has been contracted to provide the services of Cathy Deane as the Institutional Strengthening / Gender Specialist and Team Leader of the PMRG. The major institutional strengthening project components are:

  • HRM and training
  • Infrastructure and resource management
  • Operations and investigations
  • Financial management
  • Management systems and accountability
