Mongolia: Study Tour on Improving the Methodology of Performance Evaluation of Human Resources in the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AusAID/CaBSAF, 2006

The Mongolia Australia Capacity Building and Small Activities Facility (CaBSAF) funded this activity to develop more effective HRM processes and capacities within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through training in Mongolia and a four-week Working Visit to Australia. World Wide and La Trobe University’s Graduate School of Management delivered the services, including;

  • A visit by a Performance Management Specialist to Mongolia for one week to clarify the objectives and scope of the activity;
  • A working visit to of MFA delegates to Australia for 28 days to learn from the human resource management practices and performance management experts of agencies such as the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade;
  • A five-day training course for MFA managers and staff in Mongolia on the practices of human resource management, in particular performance management and appraisal, drawing upon examples from the Australian Public Sector and Australian diplomatic missions overseas.
