Intern starts at World Wide
World Wide has taken a University student intern for the remainder of 2008. Alexia Simpson entered into Adelaide University as a mature aged student, after travelling and living overseas for a number of years. Alexia has a keen interest in anthropology, including the understanding of different countries and cultures. She has travelled widely in Asia and Europe, including living and working in Sweden, so has a broad appreciation of a number of cultures and societies. Alexia is in the final year of her Bachelor degree in Development Studies and intends to follow a career in international development.
While at World Wide, Alexia is applying her international experience and formal degree studies through working in a number of internal projects, as well as “shadowing” our international project managers on several activities being implemented in Australia and overseas. We look forward working with Alexia over the next 5 months and hope to contribute to her study program and to her professional development.
