Chinese and Mongolian study tours a successful conclusion to 2006

Over the past six months, World Wide has been implementing a number of Australian-based study programs, consolidating its reputation as a quality provider in this area. The programs have included:

  • Working Visit on the Long-Term Fiscal Impacts of Social Security, China Australia Governance Program (CAGP), 2006

    This working visit of delegates from China’s Budget Affairs Commission and related agencies took place in NSW and the ACT. It was devised to enable participants to engage in policy and technical dialogue with experts and officials in Australian government agencies, academic institutions and other relevant groups.

  • Study Tour on Improving the Methodology of Performance Evaluation of Human Resources in the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AusAID/CaBSAF, 2006

    The Mongolia Australia Capacity Building and Small Activities Facility (CaBSAF) funded this activity to develop more effective HRM processes and capacities within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through training in Mongolia and a four-week Working Visit to Victoria, Australia.

  • Study Tour on Improvements in Incentives Arrangements for Employees of the Mongolian Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs, AusAID/CaBSAF, 2006

    The Mongolia Australia Capacity Building and Small Activities Facility (CaBSAF) funded this activity to develop more effective HRM processes and capacities within the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs through the delivery of HR technical advice in Mongolia by an Australian consultant, as well as a three-week Working Visit to SA, Australia.

  • Management Development Training for Court Administrators from the Supreme Court of the Philippines, AusAID, PAHRDF, 2006

    The AusAID-funded Philippines Australia Human Resource Development Facility (PAHRDF) aims to achieve sustainable and equitable development in the Philippines, by providing long-term scholarships as well as short-term specialised training. World Wide designed and delivered a training program for nine Supreme Court officials (including judges) from the Republic of the Philippines. The program included a customised ten-day management training course in the Philippines and an eight-day benchmarking visit in Australia.

  • Training programs and study tours for senior Iraqi Ministy personnel

    Australia is currently contributing to the humanitarian and reconstruction needs in Iraq, focusing on niche areas where Australia has particular expertise to offer and in sectors that complement initiatives of the Government of Iraq and other donor agencies. The assistance is provided under a program titled ‘Rehabilitation Assistance Facility: Iraq’ (RAFI) and is funded through AusAID. World Wide has been responsible for technical inputs, welfare inputs and logistics in Australia for several training programs delivered through RAFI in various Australian states and cities. Some recently-completed programs have included:

    – Agricultural Quarantine Training Program in Australia for the Iraq Ministry of Agriculture

    – Current Auditing Techniques and Practices for Senior Iraqi Personnel

    – Agricultural Human Resource Development Study Program for Senior Iraqi Personnel, partnering with Department of Primary Industry and Resources
